At Sunnyside Primary Academy, we pride ourselves on our inclusive community. Our recent IQM Award is testament to our commitment to ensuring that everyone is included. Throughout the school, we make use of Widgit communication symbols. The symbols support text and enable all children to access learning and recognise key vocabulary. You will see the symbols in every classroom, in workbooks, as visual timetables, and as word banks to support reading and writing for all children. We have embedded widgit symbols into our whole school concepts, for example our school values.
